Another River, Another Pub

Not that we visit many ... pubs that is!

But this one, recommended as it was by Rob, the Barmby Barrage Lock Keeper, was so worth a visit.

This afternoon, we cruised back down the tidal Ouse, passing Selby this time, and entered the River Derwent via the Barmby Barrage. By the time we had moored we were both tired, so the suggestion of a visit to the Kings Head was a brilliant one. It was a little further than the 200 yards we expected, but that didn't matter. The hospitality, food and beer was Excellent - with a definite capital E.

But, by the time we got back aboard it was too late for a blog from your usual writer, so I thought a quick one to whet your appetite for today's story, related tomorrow evening all being well, would let you know we're still alive, and the Ouse monster hadn't devoured us.
