Too tired, too late.......

So a short one before bed!

But first .....

We had a good day out today - more about that tomorrow. Sadly, however, we missed seeing Dutch Barge Phoenix passing our mooring here at Stanley Ferry. Roger and Margaret's brand new boat looks splendid from the photos of the build at Sagar Marine. They are talking her over to France after having a narrowboat on the UK canals. Our best wishes go with them.

But secondly....

Author Colin Theakston (he publishes as "Colt") has written a canal themed book - "A Time for Living". We had an email from him today to say it was recently published and is now available in all good book shops and Amazon.

If you see it buy it - we are in it, well a couple paragraphs on page 138 anyway! In the book we are travelling through a lock on the Grand Union and ........

So it is goodnight from Stanley Ferry on the Aire and Calder!
