Our Canal Journey Begins

All Systems Go - F A B Scott! To continue the TV theme - "I love it when a plan comes together" so said Col. John "Hannibal" Smith at the end of every episode of The 'A' Team. Yes, I did see it the first time round, showing my age? The last episode being in March 1987. I was a Mum by then (of a 6 year old). Remember watching it Craig? From Thunderbirds puppets to Mr T - some difference. LOL

However we are saying this at the beginning of an episode - our episode or the next chapter of our lives. We are still marvelling at how everything has "come together" at the right time for us. Our plan? Regular readers will know - To "pull the pins" or "cast off" and become CCers To journey along the canals and Inland Waterways of this wonderful land of ours, England, Wales definitely - Scotland with difficulty, Ireland possibly one day.

Bearing in mind some of the emails and comments flying around there will be a small minority of boaters who will say But we know that it is right for us at this time in our lives and say and I am not going to enter the debate.

The car is sold and being collected tomorrow, not required by the buyer until after I finish work tomorrow. Really good timing eh? So the plan comes together on Friday morning. Our journey begins.

Tomorrow will be for me, saying goodbye to the lovely people I have been working with and also saying goodbye to my all time favourite car.

But Friday will be looking towards new experiences, new places, new friends and another change in our lives.

Our blog will finally become a continuous Journey Blog as we explore and see familiar places by the back door and new places with new things to see and learn.

Just to remind you where we are starting from, below is our mooring at Pewsey, copyright Nb Petroc as they passed us in the summer!

See you on the Cut everyone!
More on Friday!
