Congratulations LCT

We love it!

The Lancaster Canal Trust (LCT) has created an incentive to explore beyond the seeming dead end at Tewitfield on the Lancaster Canal. When we arrived there last summer we were disappointed to find no "promotion" of the Northern Reaches beyond and the exciting possibilities of restoration of the canal to Kendal.

Epiphany at limit of LankyAs far as a narrowboat can go

I think we dropped a pretty heavy hint to Richard Trevitt (now Chairman) about our disappointment and so maybe created the impetus for this panel! He and other members of the Trust were very welcoming on our visit to the lovely "Lanky".

beyond the road barrierIt is worth exploring "beyond"

Yesterday a lovely illustrated panel was unveild by Geraldine Smith (MP) to encourage visitors to explore further and support the LCT in the fight for restoration. The LCT website has the event recorded with a photo of the Panel.

We were sad not to be able to take up the invitation to be at the unveiling but are determined to return to see the Panel for ourselves in the not too distant future!

Our "virtual tour" of what is beyond Tewitfield can be found on these links:

We would so love to see the Northern Reaches of the Lancaster Canal restored - join us and them, become a member, keep in touch and go explore!
