Are we seeing things? A useful British Waterways noticeboard

No - this is fact (for the moment!)

Seen at Wolverhampton Top Lock - a BW notice board with stoppage notices on. This is the first we have seen since before the stoppage season began. Our congratulations to the BW Manager responsible! Maybe they knew we were coming

BW notice boardPrinted stoppage notices

John has been in correspondence with BW (British Waterways) regarding the lack of stoppage notices posted on the cut. He had an answer yesterday, promising improvements.

As a result of another email, BW are in the process of reviewing and updating their moorings information on the BCN.

So well done for listening, BW! The British Waterways chairman, Tony Hales, said on one of his blogs: "We get it wrong sometimes - but not on purpose." He also said, "I think we are increasingly getting it right and that is because our Waterway Managers are becoming closer to users and are spending more time listening to their points of view - not always agreeing of course." Time will tell!

We are also in the process of updating our information on moorings we saw or used whilst on the BCN - clickety click for more.
