Now, how did we get here?

Where is this?Gas Street moorings

Finally, a fellow blogger mooredMr David

OK - well done. It is Gas Street Basin in Birmingham. The boat is Nb Mr David. At Old Turn Junction, the Birmingham Main Line Canal from Wolverhampton meets the Birmingham and Fazeley Canal.

Beyond the narrow section known as the Worcester Bar, by Gas Street Basin, the canal then meets the Worcester and Birmingham Canal.

On our way home yesterday we stepped off the train at Birmingham New Street Station to meet a friend.

Tim and his wife Carol are friends from way back, who now live in the States. They follow our blog each day (apparently!). Tim was over in the UK for a few days, so we took the opportunity to meet up and where better than the Venice of the UK, Birmingham!

So here we are!Tim and FiTim and John

There were a few boats around and we now look forward to taking Epiphany there in the near future.
