A short break

Two journeys in one - just so you can catch up with us

We left Stone, through that famous lock -

Then on towards Salt Bridge. Below Aston Lock there is a brand new Marina. So new in fact that they are still building part of it.

Iron Bridge is a well kept example of a Trent and Mersey "Iron bridge"!Iron Bridge

Sandon Lock was our final one before we moored just before Salt BridgeSandon Lock

In the evening we wandered down to the Hollybush pub with Derek and Dot for a farewell drink. We shall miss them!

In the morning we set off for Great Haywood where we planned to leave Epiphany for a couple of days.

It was a glorious morning, looking backSalt Bridge

I have heard of "a tiger in your tank", but....Tiger

This animal was either delinquent or being confined for "a procedure"!cattle

Between Weston lock and Hoo Mill Lock there is quite a stretch of interesting boat activity!

Also I spotted these two caravans, an old decorated one and a more mundane later model.

Below the lock we turned left into Great Haywood Marina - our mooring for a few days as we had a trip down to Banbury and Harefield.

Now we are back on the boat, after a sucessful trip and waiting for the rain and wind to die down before moving out onto the cut to continue our cruising.
