A new bit and old memories

The industrial wasteland continues for a bit

However, the canal leaves Stoke behind and the views gradually improve! The new bit of canal after Stoke Bottom Lock is pretty sterile, but serves its purpose. The new roads and intersections are indifferent to the canal below.

Leaving Stoke gradually behind, we pass the final landmarks, remembered from our previous trips.

And so we arrived at the Wedgwood Factory before BurlastonWedgwood

There is a visitor centre and museum - worth a visit apparently, although we managed it many years ago! The road to the factory crosses Old Road Bridge, leading to a railway crossing.

After the bridge are visitor moorings at Brook House, where we joined the line of boats behind Gypsy Rover.
