Is this a soap?

...or a gel?

I've seen and used plenty of the latter in the last couple of days - aren't I a good boy? It's hard to avoid it really - full marks to HRI for their hand-cleansing signs.

Still, our regular readers won't be interested in waffle - you'll want to know how the blogger is, won't you?

The answer is, as comfortable as can be expected, thanks to the doctors and nurses at HRI. (Keep up, that's Huddersfield Royal Infirmary!) They are still withholding the scalpel, and pumping various liquids in through an assortment of pumps and drips - good job we're used to such things. Time and monitoring will decide which form their future ministrations will take.

Once again the public transport system allows me to get to visit. Transport Direct's journey planner suggested train to Halifax, then bus to the HRI. The Todmorden Tourist Information Centre also came up with the timetables I needed - another fine example of the TICs! It's about one hour forty minutes each way - not bad really.

That's the end of today's bulletin. Thanks for all the comments and best wishes. They are being passed on!
