So what were we doing this time last year?

It was countdown to the start of our Continuous Cruising at the end of the month

We visited the River Thames at Reading by car at the beginning of August last year. We were on the way to my brother's birthday celebration and picked Craig up from the train at Reading.

It gave us a real thrill to think that in a few weeks we would begin our "great adventure". We were excited to think that we would actually be at the River Thames and going through these locks on Epiphany sometime in September.

We wondered if we would moor here at GoringGooring moorings

Little did we know that we would be stuck in Reading for 11 days once we arrived there on Epiphany. The Thames was in flood in September and the red boards were up. We got to know Reading rather well!
