Sunday on the Leeds and Liverpool canal - yuk!

A day of enforced rest

It was a very wet day - I woke with a migraine, it was not going to be a good day.

No walk to Church for me but John braved the rain to go to St James, just across the valley at Church Kirk. I got up, but spent most of the morning with my eyes closed (apart from the couple of times I needed to move!). I was able to doze the morning away and began to feel a little more human after lunch!

Watching the Hungarian GP F1 race with the sound down low we had mixed feelings. A win for Lewis Hamilton, but not so good for Jenson Button. I wonder, will Jenson make the championship and win the drivers title - it would be great if he did. How would I feel if they ever had to race head to head? Valentino Rossi did not fare much better (you didn't know I was a Moto GP fan too, did you?) and Doddington was not seen at its best.

So to cheer myself up I went back to our photos of yesterday - some evening ones for your delectation!

The railway line is on the off side, but it is not very disturbingrailway

The photo above makes it look closer than it is as the moorland behind takes your eye beyond

We had a bit of a sunset, but the dark clouds overshadowed it allsunset

Ah well, tomorrow is another day and although we would love to stay here it is time to move again.
