Stranger than truth

Coincidence or...?

Today was an important day for us - we had some important documents to sign and they needed a witness. We racked our brains as to whom we could ask.

Should we approach one of the boaters here? Should we ask the BW chap in the office? Or a complete stranger? Hmmm...

John went out to see if there was a boater or anyone that looked "trustworthy"! He approached the first person he saw in a suit (does that make someone trustworthy - not necessarily of course!) who happened to be looking over the wall at Epiphany with his family!

"Hello - I wonder if you would mind witnessing a document for us?"

"We were just looking at the boat because we follow your blog!" " I would be happy to".

John invited them aboard and we discovered that they are having their own boat built and in the middle of making important decisions about it. They live and work in the area.

We had a bit of a chat - as Boaters do! Our document was duly witnessed and we were extremely grateful.

Now - what chance of that happening in a city the size of Liverpool? What timing! I think Someone was definitely looking after us and we are very happy bunnies!

Our thanks and we hope all goes well with your boat.
