Is it worth the trip?

Maybe it is for the hanging Gardens of Preston

I mentioned the gardens along the Lancaster Canal in Preston. Perhaps not quite the hanging gardens though! It is always interesting to see how people treat gardens that come down to canal. Some are immaculate, others are left to go wild! Preston is the same!

Here is one of the immaculate ones (but even so a bit more work to do!)Immaculate garden

This one felt very welcoming!welcome garden

Q. What is wrong with this one?mile marker

A. It's on the off-side and not sure sure about the font

Nearer to Preston the gardens are very steep (Hanging?) and here there are one or two rather “wild ones”. Some are very well looked after.

This one had a boat theme and the owner is also a football fanboat garden

How about your own bar in the garden?Bar garden

I suppose that apart from the “head of navigation” experience it was worth the trip down to Preston just to see the gardens!
