Neighbourliness on the Lancaster Canal

Between Galgate and Garstang, a few notices!

We passed a new rather large house on the off side. It had quite a bit of grounds too and it all looked rather attractive.

All along the bank were these noticesnotice

Extensive grounds - notices every 50mGrounds

We couldn't help commenting that living by a canal it is unreasonable for boats not to moor opposite as we can moor anywhere on the towpath side according to our licence. Strange then that they have seats to sit on to watch the boats going past.

We do not mind people in houses looking at us and passers by certainly do not always "respect our privacy"! Perhaps we should have a notice in our window "Please respect our privacy and not peer in the windows"! Hmm, I think the heat is getting to me or I was due for a rant!
