Doggie heaven on the Rufford Branch of the L and L

Yesterday as we returned to the boat we saw a wayward Golden Retriever, or maybe a long haired Labrador (dog experts can let me know!) enjoying the canal. Defying his master he crossed at the lock and then decided to swim back to the bank after paddling through the by wash! Great fun!

We just made sure we were not around when he shook himself.

Today the same lovely dog was enjoying himself near St Mary's Marina. In fact I think he may live there. We could not resist taking these action shots as he rolled around and slid down the bank there.
