Moving to Chester, but why is it Good Friday?

So today is Good Friday and there are many reasons to call it good.

A sunny morning to start the day. We will move to Chester later.

It is the time for new beginnings -

Spring lambs

Duck families

Blossom on the trees

Living and travelling on our boat we enjoy the sights and sounds of the countryside whatever the weather!

Good Friday is a day that commemorates a cloud with a silver lining. It is a good idea to look for the silver linings in clouds - we try to!

Whether you believe in God or not, the death of Jesus is an historic fact. Christians believe his death had a silver lining. The Ultimate Sacrifice for mankind re-opened the possibility of living in a relationship with God, which helps with looking for silver linings!

So this Easter we will remember His sacrifice and then on Sunday we celebrate Jesus' resurrection, in Chester Cathedral.
