The Shroppie Style

So - we now have a half decent internet connection. We gave up at Brewood and have moved nearer Wheaton Aston, more of which later.

I promised some Shroppie
Style - here goes:-

Rope guard on bridge

These are kept in tip top condition by the Shropshire Union Canal Society. We had a momentary unjust thought - maybe they cut out the rope burns and paint the guards to create the illusion of age. Perish the thought, they are genuine and show what power and strain the horses put on the ropes pulling the working boats.
