A stay-put day

We had intentions of catching the bus into Rugby this morning. Accordingly the Webasto was set to come on at 7.15 am. What an "ungodly hour" for us!

Only, it did a few ticks and stopped! One look out of the window and I wondered whether we should stir! However John purged the Webasto and it started. He riddled the fire and it started to come again and I gritted my teeth and got dressed!

The radio was on, with dire warnings of snow bringing London to a standstill and the rest of the country was also struggling with snow! Hmm, the usual scenario when we get a wee bit of snow!

However we decided that caution was better than valour and so have stayed put on the boat rather than risk getting stranded in Rugby. There is a dusting of snow on the towpath and on the canal by the bridge. Looking back there is water, not ice, but it is not a day for venturing out by foot or by water!

I wonder how many blogs will have photos of snow this evening! If it gets worse, even I might not be able to resist temptation!
