The picturesque journey to Rugby, under lots of bridges

When the sun shines it makes taking photographs a real pleasure, and sometimes the results are surprising!

Our journey along the North Oxford canal to Rugby was on such a day! The bridges looked lovely (mostly) and so this blog has a bridge theme!

The surprise!

A number of bridges had paintings or frescoes under them; as we neared Rugby they took on a sporty theme - of course! Rugby is the home of the sport of Rugby.

Rugby is also a railway town, or was in the heyday of railways. It seems to have lost some of the feel of a railway town as other industries and transport emerged
