Four days gossip

We have been away for 4 days so have missed out on Blogging and Blogs! There is therefore a lot to catch up on! We had a brilliant time in and around the city of gleaming spires. The only gleaming they did was with frost and a couple of half hearted snow showers. It was Brr cold, enough to freeze and freeze again a Monkey's exposed anatomy.

We caught up with some good friends who happen to be relatives and some good friends who are now even better friends, we hope! We have laughed and cried, downed too much vino and been extremely well catered for! All in all it has been a great few days. Thank you Steve, Ellen and Kate. Thank you Maffi and Bones.

We wondered where we would find Epiphany as the guys at Tooleys had mentioned moving her, but here she is - still snugly moored inside Rosamund the Fair. Well definitely not snugly as she was colder inside than it was out! However we are now up to 8 degrees inside and warming up rapidly!

As at Thrupp, the canal is still iced over, but the forecast looks as if it might thaw in the next few days and we will return to typical winter weather - wet and windy!

We visited a famous grave today and once I have sorted out the photos taken by "Mr and Mrs Bailey" aka John and I, I will maybe put some up. We also witnessed some foolhardy men playing on the ice with serious intent - more of that anon too!

Watch out too for the odd reference to Spike Milligan and the even odder reference to Oscar Wilde if I can manage to weave them into my narrative. The former caused much hilarity on Nb Bones and the latter kept me amused whilst all around me became juvenile! I had to give in and join in! It was (and always is) so good to let our hair down!
