Not iced-in, just high and dry

Just to add to the overall picture of an icy System - the canal at Banbury is frozen over. It was at least -7 degrees in Cropredy last night and the ice on the cars has not thawed all day.

However Epiphany is not iced-in, she is high and dry in the comparative warmth! John was at Tooley's yesterday and reports good progress. The hull was not too bad and apparently the stern and swim were in very good condition below the waterline.

Although Epiphany was on shore power for a fair bit in 2007 her anodes are also in good condition

Matt has put the first coat of blacking on and she is looking much better!

From bows, first blacking done

Today she is drying out and another coat goes on tomorrow.

Tooley's have a few more jobs to do for us too!

There are other photos of stern and sides before and after on the Gallery.
