Festivities for all from Epiphany

Dear Blog Readers,

At this Festive Season may we take the opportunity to wish you all a very Happy Christmas and Peaceful New Year. Epiphany will be the next celebration!

My advice for this holiday time is to relax, enjoy, eat and imbibe!
For those who think it may be a problem to do all this, make sure you have a pack of Christmas remedies handy, a sort of first aid kit. In this you should have:-

A smile to put on when you don't get what you hoped to get Alka Seltzer or a similar product
Adam's Ale (not Adnams!), suitably chilled
A standby carbohydrate to soak up excess
A large cloth/napkin to clear up your stained clothes
Plenty of salt to fling on the wine stains
A handy chair to fall into
A hair of the dog (or more)
Someone to support you to a suitable resting place
Plenty of fresh air

Actually forget all my advice above. Christmas is a celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ and so has a special significance for many. It is a time for family, friends and remembering. So we both hope you will enjoy spending time with your chosen companions. Spare a thought for those less fortunate than we all are and have a great time.

I shall be taking a blogging holiday for a few days and hope to be back in the New Year. It is a new beginning, a newly blacked boat and new adventures to come. It will be the season of Epiphany!
