Almost, exactly, nearly, precisely

As near as ......

moored

Moored above Swinford Bridge on April 3rd to 8th this year

Where have the last seven months gone? .....

On the move - River Thames, Kennet and Avon Canal, River Wey, Basingstoke Canal, Grand Union, Paddington Arm, Regents Canal, Lee and Stort Navigations and back onto the River Thames - that's where!

However, it is nice to just moor and "be" for a change. Yes, we are exactly where we were seven months ago - to the date!

Beacon Hill

Beacon Hill then

Beacon Hill

Beacon Hill this morning

Last night we took a trip into Oxford to see "I Malvolio" with a friend. It was (and is) a brilliant one man play, written and performed by Tim Crouch and so funny. The S1 bus is convenient and stops by Swinford Toll Bridge. The only drawback is walking back along through the field in the dark, taking care to avoid the cow pats!

Here are the culprits - they came to say hello this morning.

cows by gate

Can you spot the fearful people at the gate? The cows were guarding it!

calf

This calf was adventurous and left the herd for greener pastures

We have only seen one boat on the move up here and only a few walkers. What a peaceful spot; so how much longer are we staying here, how much longer before I get itchy feet?
