Staying put - if we can!

Oh how wonderful - only the birds and those darn Canada geese to disturb us.

Canada geese

Once up here, boats tend to stay put ......

We shall do the same and ride out the winds and rain forecast for the next few days. As there is nothing between us and Beacon Hill on our port side we catch the wind and the boat does not "stay put" much.

Bow view this morning

There are cow pats in the field by us but no cows to be seen as yet. They will come and investigate us eventually I am sure.

Stern view back to Swinford Toll Bridge

Talking birds - this cormorant has made this tree trunk his home. We spotted him below Godstow on Monday and he was there again yesterday.

drying out

Monday, he was drying his wings

Yesterday, surveying the scene

Here are the final additions to our roof between the solar panels - not bad and hiding some bulbs that I hope will come up, unlike last year when I lost out as they rotted off under the snow.

Along the roof

You can see that we are well and truly "rough moored" as our bow is well out into the River Thames. I can assure you that the rest of Epiphany is near enough land to get off!
