Autumnal River Thames at Caversham

We spent last night at one of our favourite moorings and were rewarded by seeing this narrowboat pair pass us. They are owned by the Narrowboat Trust.

We had taken advantage of the evening sun to check our new solar panels .......

The roof looks a little bare with just the solar panels at the back.

Perhaps I can get some small planters to go in the gap between them. I really need to find a garden centre (or DIY outlet) for plants and pots though, and so far we have not passed one near enough the river. I keep hoping!

The autumn colours at Caversham Court Gardens were so attractive

We met some rowers out as we cruised up beside Caversham Parade. Later on I was amused to see them still out with head lights which were only effective in letting us know they were there, not in showing them the way.

The solar panels were charging - I wonder what they will do in the sun which is forecast for tomorrow ........
