A Return Visit to see improvements by BW

The Lancaster Canal is tugging at our hearts. Not surprisingly as this is the view out of the window!

We ended up here at the Lune Aqueduct which is on its Phase 2 improvements, courtesy of Lottery Heritage money, LCT and BW.

The balustrade is being cleaned and renewed.

The steps up from the River Lune are being rebuilt.

Both ends

I think that they are even building a ramp at the Lancaster end. A couple of Narrowboats traversed the Aqueduct whilst we were there.

So now we have another incentive to cruise the Lanky to see the finished works - maybe next year?
