An angling tribute on the River Thames

This one is for the fishermen, or anglers, among our readers.

moored at North Island

We are moored here .....

Just downstream of our stern, hidden by the tree behind us, I found this

tree stump

Tree stump and plaque

plaque details

A close up of the plaque

I suspect Mr Webb fished from the bank-side rather than behind a tree, but he obviously had some very good friends who wanted everyone to know he once was a keen angler and loved the river as we do.

RIP Brian ....
