Something old and something new about canals

The more observant of you, our readers, may have noticed something different about our website. Hopefully it will enhance the "extras" we already have.

That is, if you go to our home page on a regular basis and are not reading this via RSS feed ........

So have you looked? I hope so ....

Did you spot it?

We hope our new Waterways Index (on the left side bar and on the drop down "extras" button and under "cruising extras" on the right!) will be a useful tool for anyone wanting to find out about our experiences on different waterways, both canal and river. We have divided the system into seven sections. Under each section is a list of waterways with dated links to the beginning of our blog about our cruising on that waterway. Follow the intro instructions and you will see!

For example here is a link to the North East waterways, which we cruised last summer.

It is still in development and we will add to it in the future. It was my idea, but John has been doing all the work so far - bless him and many thanks!

So if you plan a cruise, are planning a holiday on a hire boat, own a narrowboat (or wide beam of course), are a share owner or just enjoy reading about your favourite UK waterway this is the place to come!
