Very familiar place and boats

We left Wootton Rivers and made our short cruise to Pewsey. Almost as soon as we left, we started seeing familiar boats.

small narrowboat

It was rather a grey, overcast, windy final morning for our gallant crew....

This wide craft was not familiar, but the voice and head that popped out was! It was Dave - who helped fit out Epiphany when he worked for Bath Narrowboats. We had heard on the grapevine that they had sold their narrowboat and he was fitting out a widebeam. I love the flowers Angie!

This boat always amused us - what a good name. Howeve,r we are glad she is not ours!

I wonder how it got on in the ice last November!

The moorings at Pewsey are always popular. There was no room on the 14 day ones but the 48H ones had plenty of room. It was just a question of picking the right spot to get into the bank enough for Chris and Angela to get off without using the plank! We got the front in as you can see ....

So it was goodbye - a sad one - but we had had a wonderful few days together. Off our crew went to catch the train at Pewsey to return to their car and thence to Cornwall.
