In bits and pieces

A friend asked us the other day when we were going to have a new narrowboat. What a question!

This was said from the perspective of an ex-builder of narrowboats and someone who had just sold his beloved old ice breaker, Baltic.

Our answer was ......

we have no thoughts of a new narrowboat.

As we designed Epiphany ourselves - after years of research - and after over 4 years of living on her, there has been very little change. We are very happy with her as she is! Recently we had a few "tweaks" which I first mentioned here - clickety click

Here is the result from the outside, and in the lovely weather we have been having the inner windows have been a boon.

We also had an extension to our cross double bed - of the fixed bit at the foot. So it can be used as a single bed now. A small fold down shelf is there for cup of tea etc!

A shelf above my bedside table now takes some books and bits and pieces

Our cratch table now folds downwards to make it easier to get on and off in the bows

The latest addition came in bits and pieces - John has a new chair after the old one finally broke irreparably. This was our "delivery" of the other day.

Steve and John and the box

Like all things that come in bits and pieces it was a jigsaw, a puzzle and a challenge!

So now you are up to date with how Epiphany looks - and we are very pleased with out "tweaks". (The chair was assembled eventually! Ed.)
