Posh sheep?

Now here's a question - one John and I debated as we cruised along the River Thames today. We saw some sheep with some spring lambs and that set us off!

Do they say "bar bar" or or "baaaaa baaaaaa"? - a bit like "scon" and "scoane"! Why did I wonder this ....?

We have passed some lovely houses in this neck  of the woods and certainly the ones we saw today with their own boat houses must cost a plenty! However that is no reason to think the area "posh" compared to much further downstream!

Ok - you think I have lost my marbles ... it was just an amusing conversation and a little light relief after all the history!

Another thing I have noticed is the trees in some of the fields. These particularly struck John as a "tired" hedge.

The wonder is that they come again and grow into an attractive shape providing shade for the animals.

Finally, again for light relief - how about a narrowboat with a giant hanging out of the window.

More about our boating to Eynsham later ....
