A good place to moor

If you want to wait for a lock to open, be away from other boaters, or feel like a "leper" narrowboat, Banbury is the place for you!

Tunnel Vision? No from our bows!
Grant's Lock - the next one south from Banbury Lock is closed for another week so there are very few boat movements here at the moment - only those who either moor below or above Banbury Lock. They have to cruise between the two winding holes to get water etc.

Museum Bridge and reflections
We have never seen the Banbury moorings so empty! John took the photos above just as we settled down last night - the narrowboats ahead are being worked on by Tooley's Boatyard.
