Resolutions?

Nah ...

Ambitions, maybe. Plans, not yet. Hopes and dreams - well, we all have them!

I hope we get to move before long, I dream of warm sunny days and colour in the hedgerows. Perhaps too of one of our favourite canals -

It has been a black and white world for too long. I think that you would not have noticed that my photos were still colour ones in all the snow!

I mentioned we will have a gold licence this year and plan (Ok there is that word!) to cruise the Thames at some point.

I suspect that we shall be staying south for spring and some of the summer and then maybe go northwards when the holiday season starts. John wants a "nostalgia" trip on the Thames - he cruised much of it in his childhood and again with Craig when I was unable to go due to illness.

We cruised down from Aynho on a hire boat in the 1970s and were stuck at Henley for four days due to the Thames flooding.

We were stuck at Reading in 2008 waiting for the red boards to come down on the Thames.

Does this all bode well for this year? Hmm, we shall see!

Oh I do have an ambition for this year - to cruise under Tower Bridge through my home city!

So who needs New Year resolutions, I have plenty of other things to do!
