I could hear cracking and for the first time in days we were moving ;) It had to be, or was it, yes it was -

brreaking the ice

A narrowboat all the way from Thrupp! Even the ducks were getting prepared as they walked up from the bridge over the ice.

The passing boat or should I say "crab" left us and ice and a slice (but no Gin!)

They continued crab-like, but once past the bridge the epic journey came to an end and reversing was the order of the day to moor and wait for Dusty to come tomorrow - we all hope!
