Continuous cruising in ice

As expected we are likely to be ice bound for a few days

However with a bit of careful planning we have chosen to be amongst friends! Last year it was the centre of Birmingham (an excellent place to be stuck!) and now it is Thrupp.

Molly, Boots, MaffiLook who came calling this morning

For those who have not met her, this is Molly and in the background "escaping" from the lens are Boots (belonging to Bones) and half of Maffi - no rude comments please! (WoUld that be ifi then? ed.) When we braved the day, this was the view out of our off-side porthole. The South Oxford Canal in ice.

Both Banbury and Oxford are only a bus ride away, so are a choice of supermarkets and of course there are always the pubs - a good way to save electricity in the evenings!

So we are continuous cruisers who really enjoy winter on the cut and as long as we have a nice warm narrowboat, enough diesel and water for up to two weeks we are happy bunnies! We also really enjoy the inter-narrowboat visiting and some visits from non-boating friends and family are due!
